[Opinions] Emmanuel
I think Emmanuel is about to replace Isidore as my second favorite name for a boy (August being my favorite) so I have a few questions for you.1. What do you think of the name Emmanuel?2. Do you prefer Emanuel or Emmanuel?3. Would you use a nickname? If yes, what nickname would you use?4. Do you know anyone named Emmanuel?

I love Emanuel. I like both spelling, but I do prefer Emanuel. I wouldn't use a nickname. I only know one Manuel, no Emanuel's. :)

It's not something I'd use myself, but it's quite nice. I think I slightly prefer Emanuel, because the emma in the first spelling puts me off a little.Manny is the obvious nn. But I know an Emmanuel who goes by the full name, and doesn't have a problem with it. He's 12.

1. What do you think of the name Emmanuel? - I find it very handsome even though I could never consider it myself because of the meaning2. Do you prefer Emanuel or Emmanuel? - I prefer Emmanuel but both are nice3. Would you use a nickname? If yes, what nickname would you use? - I would end up using a nickname because it is too long for me to say all the time. He'd probably get Manny or E4. Do you know anyone named Emmanuel? - I know one Emanuel and he goes by E-man or E as nicknames (he still gets called his full name as well though)

No, I don't think it needs a nickname. 4. Do you know anyone named Emmanuel?
-A couple of people and they go by their full name.

1. I love it!2. Emanuel... seems more masculine3. I would probably use a nick name sometimes but mainly refer to him by his full name most of the time. I would use Man, E or El. Probaby not Manny4. I met a few kids named Emanuel and their nns were Manny. Always sweet kids.

I like Emanuel, and I prefer this spelling. I think this is how most people would spell it in Sweden and Emmanuel makes me want to prn it diffrently (more like Emma). I wouldn't use a nickname. I don't know anyone named this, but I know a guy who's middle name is Emanuel / Emmanuel

1. Love it. I go back and forth between Emmanuel and Immanuel. I think I've settled on the Emmanuel spelling because it would be the easiest for a child to live with. Anyway. Love Emmanuel.2. Emmanuel.3. Yes, Manny.4. No, sadly I don't know any Emmanuels. There was a child actor named Emmanuel Lewis once. That's when I first became aware of the name for a boy. But I haven't seen him in anything in decades. I doubt there are many Emmanuels running around.

1. I like it. I don't quite like it enough to use myself, but if I ever met one I would be very happy :P2. I prefer the look of Emanuel, but if I heard it I would probably assume it was Emmanuel.3. I wouldn't... I could see Manny, Emi, or Manuel, but I don't like any of those. Well, Manuel is okay, but it looks too much like the word 'manual'.4. Nope.

1. A little while ago I really started liking it. It's so masculine and outdoorsy.2. Emanuel because it looks more masculine. The "Emma-" part is what looks feminine in the other spelling.3. Yes, I love Manley as a nn. It's really a GP, though.4. Nope
