With three biological children already, Josh and Maria decided to adopt a baby. They contacted an agency, who, quite miraculously, matched them with a baby in only three months! It is a baby girl only three weeks old. She was delivered by emergency C-section three weeks early when her mother, the teenage girlfriend of a New York City gangbanger, was shot and died on the operating table. Camilla was delivered just in time, and though a little early she was perfectly healthy. The boyfriend was killed in the same shooting that killed his girlfriend, and neither set of grandparents wanted the baby girl, so she was placed for adoption. The baby's tragic story struck a chord with Maria, having gone through such a similar situation herself. She and Josh sat down with their kids and chose the new baby's name together from a baby book. Camilla was the first name that everyone liked without having ot be convinced, and Marisol is to honor Maria, Irena, and Tony's Hispanic heritage. Baby Camilla is happy and healthy, doted upon by mother, father, sisters, and brother. They have only had her a few months, but they cannot imagine life without her now.
