I am also surprised by all the polish names! I am also surprised by Maja. O thought Maya would be more popular than Maja (which is #2 in Sweden right now) and that there is quite a few dated names - Bobby, Ross, Hugh, Jennifer, Shannon, Brian, Scott, Jason etc

Maja being more popular than Maya surprised me too.
Shannon was never popular here in the 70s and 80s - it has only become popular recently along with Erin and Katelyn recently via TV from the US I would guess.
Brian never really went out of fashion here, same with Ross.
Jennifer and Jason puzzle me too - they are such 70s & 80s names here.
Hugh is part of the "old is good again" thing I think.
