I know this is listed in the database as a male name, but what do you all think of it as a female name? In the book I've been reading, the main character is Neely Teodora Vries. Anyway it just kind of struck me as interesting

I used to babysit a girl in the late 70's or early 80's with this name. It was the mother's maiden name.

I think it's cute. I know a lady who has a little girl named Nealie Isabelle. I think it's adorable on her.

I prefer Neela, but Neely is interesting. I think it works well as a character name.

It's not my style, but Tilly & The Wall has a girl named Neely Jenkins in it.
I think it would be cuter if it were a nn for something.
