I like both names. I'd probably be more likely to use Elysia as a middle name rather than a first name because I'd be worried that it might be confused with Alicia, Alyssa, or Elissa.

I don't think that Elysia looks too trendy. In terms of appearance, it's not that far off from Lydia and Sylvia, which strike me as classic rather than trendy. It's close to Alyssa, which I do find trendy yet still pretty. Elysia doesn't seem overly trendy to me though.
