I prefer Rose to Rosa. If it is only used as a middle name in his family then it is not as though there would be much confusion, right?

That's what I'm thinking, too.

It might raise a few eyebrows at first but in the end it wouldn't be such a big deal.

I'm not sure it would even be an issue. People might even LIKE it.
