It reminds me of the abbrieviation for New Orleans, LA and the Enola Gay. Either way, it brings images of destruction.

It reminds me too much of the Enola Gay (the American plane which dropped the atomic bombs in Japan). I've never heard Nola used as a name besides that.

I like it a lot. I used to prefer it as a nn for Finola but now I prefer Nola on its own. My only problem with it is it makes me think of granola. :b

I love that name, could be perfect for a shortened Magnolia, or as a twin to Niles.

It's not a name that I would use but I think it's pretty. Noelia, which is somewhat similar, is nice too.

To me, Nola is a character from the book "Mean Spirit" about Native Americans in Oklamhoma in 1922. It is a very good book, buy an extremely sad story and Nola is a tragic character. As a name, its pretty, but I only think of the character from this novel.

Love it!

Nola and Nona are two names I love dearly. I really love Nola as a nickname for Magnolia. It definitely stands on its own, though.Do you have any combos in mind, or would you like ideas?Array

No I don't have any combos, but I'd love some ideas! Thanks!

I love it as a nn for Magnolia (which is one of my favorite names), but not so much on its own. Not bad, though.
