The children could almost always be found running and playing along the beach, usually with a cousin or two in tow.
Lucian and Saveria were frequent visitors in Qelan, the prince having bought a large plot of land a few miles down the coast and built an elegant home there. They still travelled occasionally but not quite as often since Ariadne was born and even less as soon as her sisters began arriving. Melisande Paloma Eloisa Vespera Ines, Cecily Rosemonde Gwyneira Francesca Orsola, and Leontina Solveig Nephele Aerona Aderyn were all beautiful girls who took after their mother in looks and temperament, kind and polite and quiet. Only Ari inherited her father's curly hair and boisterous personality, preferring roughhousing with Demetri on the beach to the more typically girly pastimes of Meli, Ceci, and Tina. She especially loved getting combat instruction from her father and aunt.

He really looked forward to visits from Ari and Demetri, who were his two best friends; his parents even let him spend summers in Qelan all on his own.
Jourdain and Isadora traveled the world for many years with their prestigious orchestra group but finally settled down when Isadora was pregnant with their first child. An elite conservatory located conveniently between Francylvania and Qelan offered them both teaching positions, and Jourdain quickly became the dean of the institution. Their kids Jermaine Alexandre Gerard Louis Arsene and Juliette Cerise Ghislaine Noemi Delphine grew up studying with legendary musicians and turned out very talented themselves. Jermaine was a genius with the violin, and Juliette began writing lovely piano concertos when she was just thirteen.

Unlike Sonya and Maia, they were quite clever, preferring discussions of politics or literature to makeup or hair. Ilona Mariposa Gretchen Stella Valeria was loud and opinionated, and she loved to argue with anyone and everyone. Ludo finally got his son with the last set of twins, Bianca Violetta Lyra Rhonwen Isolde and Rudiger Nicanor Boaz Aesop Hyperion. Bee and Rue were inseparable troublemakers, terrorizing their siblings and the castle staff. Vina compared them fondly to Magda and Lucian.
