I think that it's still kind of frilly, but I don't really see anything wrong with that (either way, long and girly names often come with nicknames that are less so). I do agree that Liliana is frillier out of the two, perhaps because of the floral Lili- beginning...
The only (very minor) problem I can see is that it could be confused with more popular names like Eliana and Liliana. Maybe not, though, since it's #719, which isn't so very uncommon...
