[Facts] Dione (Usage: Greek Mythology)
How would this name properly be pronounced?
dee-AHN?
die-O-nee?
something else? Thanks!
DIONE (1)
Gender: Feminine
Usage: Greek Mythology
Other Scripts: Διωνη (Ancient Greek)
From Greek Διος (Dios) meaning "of ZEUS". By extension, it means "goddess". This was the name of an obscure Greek goddess who, according to some legends, was the mother of Aphrodite.

Thanks - I would have never guessed the "th"!
Actually, the TH case is only used in Modern Greek. It's not with a TH, but with a D, since in English we use the latinized forms of Greek names.
Dee - oh - nee is the correct form.
