I don't like Ingrid. To me it sounds harsh. I've had two teachers with the name (well, I still have one of them). It's a quite popular name here in Sweden, mainly women around 45-65 or something. However it's staritng to come back and I see more and more children named Ingrid. Ingrid Kristina sounds very Swedish to me. :)

Ingrid Kristina does sound very Swedish! I could probably pull off pretending to be Swedish really well too - I'm super fair with a dimple and everything.
I think Ingird is considered an "old lady" name in North America as well, even though there are not as many Ingrids here. I think that was the main reason my mom did not like it.
