We live in a three bedroom apartment in Sydney, Australia. Tomer and I share a white van.2017- On the first anniversery of our marriage, Tomer and I decided to go home. We visited our parents and saw Caesaria, which was once a thriving Roman port city.2018- About a year after we returned from Caesaria, I got big news, a promotion! Instead of being just another graphic designer at the company, I would finally get to see more of my ideas come to life! The reason, I think, I got promoted was because of my Caesaria toilet paper commerical (don't laugh at that! It did wonders for the company). 2019- Everything in life was going good, until my grandma's cousin died, that is. His death struck me hard, because even though I barely knew him, he was one of the last remaning reminders of my grandma and because his youngest child is only 13 (his other two are 31 and 33). Originally, I hadn't expected to go to the funeral but his daughters, who I am close to, called and asked. So I packed a bag and headed to New Jersey (or New Joizy as he would say). I arrived just in time for the funeral. It was very sad, Pieter had only been 63. When we got to the will, I found out that his children, and I were to split his fortune, which turned out to be more than I thought. Later, I had asked Andrea why her stepmother hadn't gotten anything (and why she wasn't at the funeral), and she told me that her father had found out she was cheating on him. She had denied it and when she realized he really knew what he was talking about, she fled home, to France. Now, 13-year-old Nate would have to go live with Andrea, her husband, and two children. I felt so bad, but their was nothing I could do. When I got home, Tomer and I discussed what to do with the money. It was alot of money, but we decided to save it, in case anything came up. 2020- The death of my "uncle" really changed me. I kept thinking about Nate, everytime I saw a little kid. Finally, Tomer and I decided it was time for us to have one of our own, but not the natural way. We had plenty of money and an extra bedroom (the other two were the master bedroom and my studio), so the only problem would be finding the right child. Fortunately, that didn't take so long. Tomer came home one day, eight months ago, and told me about one of his patients. Zoe, a 3 and a half year old, had had a congenital heart defect, since her birth. Tomer was taken away by how happy and friendly she was, but he also noticed that there was only one person who visited her, a lady who obviously was not her mother. When he asked the lady if she was related to Zoe, she said no, and that she was her case worker. Zoe had been in and out of the hospital since birth, but not just for her heart defect. Her parents had been abusive, emotionally and physically, and Zoe had to put up with it until a doctor noticed that something wasn't right about the bruises and called the police. Two weeks later, I got to meet Zoe, when Tomer brought her home. She was wonderful... until she went to sleep. Zoe kept screaming, in her sleep. At first we weren't sure for what but soon the "MMMMMM" turned to "MEEEEEMEEEE". After a few traumatic nights we decided to call the case worker and ask her who Mimi was. The case worker, Karen, told us that Mimi was Mia and that Mia was Zoe's twin sister. We brought Mia home the next day. We couldn't stand to have them apart. After just two weeks with the two of them we decided it was meant to be and got a lawyer and an adoption application. Mia was not as high-spirited as her twin sister, but that was okay with us. After the adoption was complete, we got a look at the twins's birth certificates and immeditately we knew it was meant to be, the twins were born at the exact time Tomer and I said "I do". We haven't regreted that, nor will we ever, and the same thing goes for adopting the girls. Even though they changed our lives, dramatically, we wouldn't trade them for anything.DD: Mia Charlotte

2021- To commemorate the anniversary of us becoming a family, we took the girls to Windsor Castle, where they were thrilled to learn that a princess once lived. The girls absolutely adored the palace and the guards, in fact they fell in love with Jimmy, the guard who stood outside our hotel. I have no idea if his name was actually Jimmy, because her never talked, but I was just glad they were happy. Before we left, we took them to a princess doll store. They were beeming with happiness when they showed each other the doll that they picked. Amazingly, they picked the same doll, but Zoe's doll, Leah, had a pink dress and Mia's doll, Chloe, had a blue one.2022- We always knew, or at least I always knew, in our hearts, that the twins would not be our only two children. At the age of 6, or 2 (if you count time from the adoption), they really wanted a baby sister. But they weren't the only ones pushing for more children. My parents, Tomer's dad, his brother and sister, my sister, and my brother had all been asking when they could expect to be seeing another member get added to the family. Tomer’s mom wanted us to have more kids but she still thought we were pretty young and had plenty of time. When we finally did add, to our family, it wasn’t the way we had expected to. We had originally planned on trying for a baby, but right as we were about to begin, I found out that my third cousin and her mother had died. Behind, they left a 13 year old son and brother, a young man whose father couldn’t care less about him. We decided right then to adopt him. Jack, as we call him, is very outgoing and sporty. He was really torn up over his mom and his sister’s death, but with some therapy and lots of kisses from the girls, he got over his sadness and anger.DS: Jonathan David “Jack”

Adopted From: Johannesburg, South Africa2023- Not long after things settled down, I realized that something wasn’t right. I had begun feeling sick and tired, which was very unusual and worrisome for me. I was going to go to the doctor, but Tomer told me not to bother, I would be fine soon. But I wasn’t getting better, so I decided to go to the doctor anyway. When I walked into his office, I got the shock of my life, I was pregnant! There was going to be another child in the family soon. I started to panic. Where would they sleep? Our apartment was stuffed to the brim. How would the children react to him/her? When Tomer got home that day, I was really sick. He told me that I should go to see a doctor and I laughed, because I already had. He was pretty shocked, when I told him. Even more so when I told him I was at least three months along. We told the kids about two months later and they were all thrilled. Yaz’s birth was quick for a first birth, the nurse said, and it was a pretty easy one, too (says the doctor). Yasmin (Yahss-meen) was 6lbs 9oz and 19in. She is an extremely curious and bubbly baby and the girls, and Jack, love her.DD: Yasmin Golda

Hair: Curly Blonde
Birthdate: November 30th2024- When Yasmin turned 6 months old, we decided it was time to take her to meet the family. She absolutely hated the airplane, as did Zoe, because she had to sit still. When we arrived the family welcomed us with wide arms. The trip had been great, but as we began to realize it would soon be time to leave, my mother-in-law introduced us to her friend’s grandkids. Ayelet, Shmulek, and Tali had been her son’s children, before he died in combat. She was getting older and was starting to have difficulties caring for the youngsters. After talking it over, Tomer and I agreed it would be best for them to come live with us. When we arrived home, the apartment was definitely packed. The girls slept in the larger bedroom and the boys slept in the smaller one. This worked for a few weeks, but by then we had found a new place. 8 bedrooms, an attic, and a large back yard, the new house was perfect for us. Each one of the children could have their own room, when they were ready. But for now, the triplets slept in one room, the twins slept in one, Yaz slept with us, and Jack had one of his own. Talia’s the most talkative of the triplets, but she knows how to keep a secret. Ayelet is much more shy and she often hides behind her siblings, we’ve discovered that she’s extremely smart and a wiz at the piano. Shmulek loves sports and his new brother.DD: Ayelet Rina

Adopted from: Haifa, Israel2025- Life had slowly gotten into a routine, in fact, we started considering ourselves sane again, but our world spun out of control when we were walking home from school, one day, and the twins, now 9, recognized someone they never wanted to see again. Zoe just about had a heart attack right then and Jack, 16, had to carry her over to a bench, to try to calm her down. I told the children to follow him and I began to observe the woman, with a tiny little girl that looked no older than 18 months. That was when I noticed the bruises on her arms. I called the police. Within minutes they arrested her. But they didn’t know what to do with the child. I told them I would take her, and after they saw Mia come over (to inform us that Zoe was okay) the police chief let me take her home. When we arrived home, I stayed with the children and Tomer took Etta to the hospital. She was fine and within a month, she became yet another permanent addition to our always growing family. Etta’s personality is much like Mia’s; calm, yet wary. All the children liked her, even Yasmin, who we were worried about. We thought she was going to throw a fit.DD: Juliet Seraphina “Etta”

Adopted from: New Wales, Australia2026- After Juliet joined our family, we seriously thought we were done. That was until we got a call from the lawyer who helped us adopt Jack. The lawyer informed us that Jack’s dad had another child, a daughter, and that her mother had died in a gang fight. Tomer and I immediately knew it was right because she had the same birthdate as our only biological child. When Sarah arrived, much like Etta, she was skittish and paranoid. We are still helping her get over her issues. The good news is that she found something here that she loves; us and art.DD: Sarah Elizabeth

I wanted to cry. I loved my friend so much, why did she have to die. When Octavia came to live with us, her grandmother, who flew with her gave us several photo albums. “So she no forget” she told us and we promised her. Oct is a very active two year old and she gets along dashingly with our other children.DD: Octavia Mei-Ling

Adopted from: Singapore2028- Shortly after Jack’s 19th birthday, I began to get sick again. Immediately I knew with what. After a week of this, I went to the doctor and my intuition was confirmed, I was indeed pregnant. Even though this had been a huge surprise, both Tomer and I were pleased, especially because our other children were growing up so fast. Jack was 19, Mia and Zoe were 12, Sarah was 10, the triplets were 9, Yasmin and Etta was 5, and Oct was 3. Born on a month early and on Hannukah, Maia is a little spitfire. She is a people person, but we’ve found out she can get pretty hot headed.DD: Maia Harper
Eyes: Hazel
Hair: Wavy Blonde
Birthdate: December 22nd2029- After Maia’s birth I began working less and less but when she was almost a year old, there was an advertising convention I just couldn’t miss. So I packed her up and said goodbye to the children, Jack and Tomer would be pretty capable of carring for the others, as all the kids, Zoe to the triplets, were self-sufficent. The trip was to England and I had a lot of fun. When I got back the kids told me of the great time they had had and I told them about my trip.2030- While riding in her friend’s car, Ayelet go into a crash. It was late at night when the police had shown up at the door and we had been very frightened. We rang up Jack, who lived with a roommate, and soon left the house. The children were still sleeping so we left them a note. When we got to the hospital we found out that it was Letti’s friend’s older sister who was driving and we were beyond mad, because it had been past her curfew. The wreck had banged Letti’s knee up, pretty badly, but her friend was worse, two broken ribs and a punctured lung, she had been in the front seat.2031- After Letti’s accident we were pretty wary of letting any of our children ride with others, and we continued to have that same mindset, until Jack came home from a trip to Spain, with a small child. Carlos was abandoned by his mother at birth, due to the fact that he has severe asthma. We immediately knew he was right for our family because he got along so well with everyone, especially Maia.DS: Carlos Diego
