[Games] Re: A mash-up between MASH and the 15 year game
in reply to a message by Ranchie
Thanks! I loved this!
We have been married one year.
My Name: Carmella Guiseppina DiDimonicantonio Hollister (DiDominicantonio being maiden last name... I'm aware that it sounds a bit.. made up, but I actually did see it somewhere and have since been obsessed with it.)
Hair: Dark brown
Eyes: Brown
Job: Chef
SO's Name: Tyler Nicholas Hollister
Hair: Brown
Eyes: Blue
Job: Also a chef
I live in a mansion in Australia.
We drive a yellow Honda Civic.
Year one:
This year something happened that I would not have expected to do in my career as a chef: I took a business trip. Life was going economically well, so Tyler and I decided to travel to Italy to get inspiration for more recipes to come up with featuring pasta dishes and Italian desserts. Everything was so delicious.. I think I'd like to go back some day not only for the joy of a return, but to experiment with culinary methods of the rest of Europe.
Year two:
Tyler and I decided to make a huge decision and adopt! We are so happy to be parents of a beautiful little eight month old girl named Shizuka Masami. She is from Japan, and smiles all the time. I love the little black curls atop her head.
Year three:
As a Christmas present last year, Tyler decided to pay for me to travel back to Europe, just as I had wanted to! Of course, it was strictly business. I spent a couple of days in Italy, but mostly focused on Spanish and French foods. I can't wait to use them at work! I did miss Shizuka and Tyler though, so I'm glad to be back home.
Year four:
My European expeditions must have paid off, because I was asked to cook at a restaurant opening up across town. It features foods from various parts of the world, which, surprisingly, has proved to be hugely popular among tourists (we live somewhat near the coastline). They can prove to be obnoxious, but are definitely helpful for our career.
Year five:
Since Shizuka is three now, we decided to buy her a pet. We wanted to get her something that she could play with, but not anything that was too much of a hassle to take care of. I thought a small and furry animal, such as a hamster or a bunny, would be a good idea, but Tyler convinced me that she would like a turtle. She certainly does love him, and she calls him Kame Kun. "Kame" is Japanese for "turtle" and "kun" is a Japanese term of endearment. We feel that it is a healthy idea to somewhat immerse with the culture which runs through her bloodline with her, which is how she managed to come up with such a name.
Year six:
Tyler and I love Shizuka so much that we decided to adopt another child from Japan. This time we have been blessed with a two year old boy named Ryuu Itsuki. He is very serious and doesn't know much English, but he is very sweet.
Year seven:
This year I had a baby boy. Tyler and I had originally been planning on only adopting, but we decided to try for a child, and were lucky enough to be blessed with a pregnancy as soon as possible, something not many people get. I'm glad this happened, for we now have Nicholas Azure. We decided to name him Nicholas because it is his father's middle name, and Azure is for his blue eyes, also inherited from Tyler. I'm not a fan of Azure, but Tyler really wanted to use it, and I don't have much of an opinion on middle names, anyway. Nick, as we're calling him, also has brown hair, just like us, and it is just as pin straight as mine. He was born about a month premature, but luckily he's happy and healthy.
Year eight:
We just got back from a family vacation to America! We wanted the kids to catch a glimpse of some history, so we went to Williamsburg, Virginia. Tyler is American, so he was more than happy to share this with our children.
Year nine:
We decided to get the kids a cat. We originally wanted a dog, but decided that may be a better idea for the future. We don't really know what kind it is (aka "Brianna doesn't know any cat breeds"), but it is mostly a sort of yellow-ish color. We all decided Milo was a nice name for him. He is very skinny and a bit shy, but the kids love him.
Year ten:
Our family was lucky enough to have a sixth person added to it this year! Shizuka, Ryuu, and Nick love their little sister, who has curly brown hair. She also has green eyes, and we're not really sure where that came from. Tyler and I agreed that she would have an Italian first name, honoring my heritage, if her middle name was on the top ten list for 2009 in the United States, his home country. We agreed on Domenica Abigail.
Year eleven:
We have another baby girl! With Domenica only a year old, our family welcomed Eve Hosanna, who was named in honor of the Holy Bible. She has curly brown hair and blue eyes- she looks like a mix between Nick and Domenica. Everyone who sees her agrees that she is absolutely beautiful, and every hectic moment is worth it.
Year twelve:
This year Ryuu was at a friend's house on a ridiculously snowy day. The parents offered to drive him home, and since I didn't exactly want to hassle with getting Shizuka, Nick, Domenica, and Eve all into the car (Tyler was at work still), I agreed. About twenty minutes later, I received a phone call informing me of a car accident. Ryuu broke his leg and was on crutches for a few weeks, but he's fine now. He was disappointed for a while because he couldn't run around as much.
Year thirteen:
Once again, we have a new addition to our family! We wanted to give her a nature name, so we chose Summer Sky. Summer has straight black hair and brown eyes. She's different from the other kids- I can tell she's going to be a reserved person when she's older. She doesn't smile a lot, and when she does it is very brief.
Year fourteen:
I decided to take a break from the culinary business for a while, and am now a secretary for a doctor in the next town over. It's definitely a different atmosphere than what I'm used to, but it's growing on me.
Year fifteen:
Tyler and I decided the kids needed a pet, so we surprised them at Christmas with a chocolate lab puppy. Her name is Hadley, and is very mellow. She tolerates anything and everything, even Summer practically climbing on her. However, she loves to occasionally play, and is developing enormous bonds with Ryuu and Nick for this very reason. She is the perfect addition to our family.
