Darien and I bought a chocolate coloured Labrador retriever whom we named Rochelle. She’s the sweetest thing, always jumping in and out of the water and absolutely adores Lex.

I was promoted to head mechanic! Our old boss retired and said I was the best suited for the job so now I run the whole place! Darien and I were so happy that we actually went out for dinner, which we rarely do.

Lex has been obsessed with fish lately so we bought him a gorgeous little angel fish to watch and feed.

One of our friends died, a rather lonely fellow by the name of James, and Darien and I were shocked when we found out that he had asked his two children to be left in our care. Neither sibling appears to remember their Mother; they have different ones, but all in all appear healthy. Beatrix and Venice hit it off since they had been on a few ‘play dates’ before. But Gabriel prefers his books to playing outside or with Lex.
Year Seven
Darien was in a car accident with Lex. They’re both alright, Darien broke his arm and Lex one of his legs but the kids and I, well mostly me, were freaking out when we got a call from the hospital.
Year Eight
We took the kids to Disney earlier this year. They loved it. Gabriel took some prompting to go on any of the rides but he seemed to really enjoy it and Lex took to the roller coaster immediately. Venice and Beatrix were happy to go on the little kids rides that I took them on while Darien had the older two with him most of the time.

Darien and I had been trying to adopt for some while now and have recently been placed with identical triplet girls who have been in the foster care since they were eight. Sofia and Audrey both seem a bit wary of us but Imogen decided that she liked us almost immediately. The girls seem to be getting along with our children well enough, despite the age difference and look to be slowly settling in.

I was on what was supposed to be a short business trip up to England and was there for a few days when I suddenly went into labour! Needless to say I was quite shocked but my coworker drove me over to the hospital as fast as he could and the twins are perfectly alright, thank God.
Year Twelve
I had to go on a short trip over to the island Hawaii. It was a conference that only lasted a few days but it wasn’t too bad.
Year Thirteen
We got several fish this year, a Beta for Gabriel and one for Venice, an angelfish for Beatrix, two goldfish for the Hailey and Violet, a turtle for Lex, Audrey also got a turtle, Imogen got a Blue Gourami and Sofia got a catfish.
Year Fourteen
My younger siblings finally got enough money to drag their entire families down here to visit! We haven’t seen each other since I left Oregon almost seventeen years ago. Oh, it’s been so long. But Jacq and Nick and my nieces, nephews and brother/sister-in-law seemed to have a lot of fun, which is always great! Audrey, Imogen and Sofia started college/university this September. Audrey’s going to Maine for some art school, Imogen is going to Pennsylvania on a Sports scholarship and Sofia’s going to college here for the time being.
Year Fifteen
We took all of the kids up to a National Park in California during the Summer. They enjoyed it, a lot of swimming and splashing from the younger children. Audrey, Imogen and Sofia all talked about their respective and Audrey was even talking about wedding plans with her boyfriend Kale. Also, Gabriel is thinking of becoming a mechanic in order to ‘carry on the family business’. I told him he was being silly but he wouldn’t listen so I finally consented. I can hardly believe how our family’s changed!
