Help[Opinions] Catherine?
Is Catherine too plain or too popular? Catherine was my great grandmother and she was an amazing woman. I would probably just call her Catherine or maybe Cate. The combo would be Catherine Larkspur.

I like Catherine. It's very soft and pretty. I prefer this spelling to Katherine definitely.

I prefer Katherine, but Catherine is just as nice. Catherine Larkspur is very cool; it sounds like an Old West type of name (Cat Larkspur). I love it.

If you click on Catherine and then on Popularity you can access stats for the USA and some other countries. All of these show that Catherine is becoming less popular. However, it's a classic that will never date its owners.

Larkspur is in honor of my sister. She's my best friend so I really wanted to honor her. It's her birth month flower.

Yes, there are obviously a lot of people born in July; but it has personal closeness and value for her, and thus I think it beautiful. Besides, personally, I find Catherine Larkspur to be one of my utmost favorite combos of yours, Antique!

Cate is on my pnl; on her own, but only because I prefer Cate and she's a name all of her own, but Catherine is lovely. I adore the C spelling, I think it's a little different yet still elegant. I think Cate Blanchett is a Catherine.

Catherine is the type of classic name that stays nice, no matter how much you've seen or heard it before. That's my opinion anyway! Catherine Larkspur is very sweet and I like the honoring idea.

I agree with the previous posters. It's a beautiful classic, not too plain or common. I only like this spelling. The Katherine/Kathryn spelling ruins it for me.

I love Catherine - it's the name of one of my best friends. She never gets a nickname - she is always Catherine. Catherine Larkspur id lovely.

Catherine Larkspur is pretty. I don't think it's too popular. I mainly see Catherine's in the middle name spot anyway. I only know one Catherine (besides Hepburn and Zeta Jones) and she's 5. Oh, and it's definitely not plain. I think it's beautiful and looks much better and more classic spelled with a C.
