It's so compact and cute and grown up, which would make it adorable on a little one and perfectly acceptable on a man. I love names that work that way, which is probably why I like so many "old man" names.
I also like the pet form "Geo". When I worked in the archives, there were so many
Georges, Williams, Jamses, etc, that the original writers had set abbreviations: Geo,
Wim, and Jas.
