[Opinions] Amy
Old favorite of mine, short and sweet. Been re-appraising it lately. What do you think of the name Amy?

Only if it's short for something and not a full name. That would be sadface.
I adore Amy. It is admirably short. Besides, it's classic and yet manages to be spunky and snappy at the same time.
Because May is my all-time favorite, I always joked about naming a girl Amy May. Just switch the first two letters, and you have two completely different names. It's efficient. It's minimalist.
(May is my favorite, but Amy May flows and May Amy doesn't.)

I think it's okay
I don't hate it but I don't love it.

Also an old fave of mine too. For some reason I've always liked it and I love the "beloved" meaning.
Faded and drab and lacking in personality. I've met Amy people with all kinds of personalities and of all kinds of ages, but my opinion of the name never varies.
It's adorable. I love it. And I don't think I've ever met a bad Amy.
Out of all the "common" names, this one of my favorite. I find it endearing despite the fact that I know a million Amys.
I like it a lot, but I'm bias as that's my sisters name.
Anywho, to me someone named Amy would be very sweet, smart and independent.

I love using this names for characters. I wouldn't use it on my daughter, but I do like it.
I used to find it atrociously dull, but it grows on one. It seems very sweet and honest, without airs, and eternally youthful and graceful. I respect it for that.
A dear little heart shaped name. Great. Sweet. Darling. Honest. Love it.
I like it, but I don't love it, and I certainly don't like it enough to use it, and I especially would have avoided it back in the 70's and 80's due to its rise in popularity back then. It's alright, but I think that there are better names.
