Cecilia, basically just because it looks more fluid to me.

Cecelia looks a little funny. Cecilia is slim, prim and fair - Cecelia lokks broader, less controlled, and more brazen.
I've never thought much about nn for Cecilia - it almost seems like a nickname-less name. Maybe Celia? And yes I know there is no Celia in Cecilia, but Cilia don't look right.

Cecilia has millennia of history behind it, and Cecelia is a spelling error and a false etymology. Celia by itself is a beautiful name, but there's no point in splicing it on to Cecilia; none at all.
I like Cecy; I was at school with a Cyelle (pronounced Seal) which was her parents' variation of Cile, and though she was very nice I never warmed to the name in any spelling.

Cecilia, since it's the feminine form of Cecil.
I think the confusion comes from the similarity to Celia, which has a completely different root / origin than Cecilia. (Celia and Celeste come form the Latin for heaven, i.e., celestial. Cecilia / Cecily / Cecil, on the other hand, mean blind.)
I don't care for Cecilia particularly. But if I had to make a nn for it, then Cici / Cece ("see-see") would be it.

My middle name is Cecelia because my grandmother's name is Cecelia. I'll name one of my daughter's with a middle of Cecelia.
Honestly though, if it weren't passed through my family with that spelling, I would think that Cecilia was the better name. I think St. Cecilia gives it the authority as the "correct" spelling.
As far as nns, I like Celia and Cissy. I don't care for CiCi very much. My grandmother goes by C.C. because her last name was Casper.

I prefer original spellings for the most part. Besides, the second E in Cecelia looks odd to me. I suppose I like Celia as a nn.

I naturally spell it that way. It makes more sense with both the pronunciation and because then it has Cecil in it. I have a friend named Cecelia and I'm always spelling it wrong.
I don't like any of the nicknames for it. My friend just goes by C a lot, which I guess I'd say is my favorite. I don't like Cici or Celia or Cecily at all. Not sure what else you could use.
