I'm really liking Susanna today. I want a hard sounding FN for her though, so she doesn't sound too frilly. Any suggestions?

Yes. I adore this name as well, and would use it, but I like it spelled with the h, Susannah. It also honors my mother, Suzanne.

Helen Susannah has been happily on my mind for decades! (I need the -h for family reasons.)Clare Susanna? Joan Susanna would be pleasantly Shakespearean; not sure if Joan's day has come, though. Jane? Mabel? Edith?

Miriam Susanna, hmmm?
Frida / Frieda / Freda Susanna is terrific. Freda is a family name for me. I didn't think anyone else would even like it, let alone consider it for a dd.
But I had to throw a favorite combo into the mix: Miriam Susanna. It's one of my favs. And you get the darling nn possibilities like Mim, Mia, Mimi, and Miri.

See I was thinking anything ending in -lia or -ella would make Susanna overly frilly. Delia would be nice to see come back into fashion though.
Ivy isn't really my thing (not a huge fan of the plant), but it's short and snappy nature is the sort of thing I wanted to pair with Susanna.

But Swedish names are boring if you ask me, just because I hear them pretty much everyday. Especially the common ones like Frida and Susanna. I'm sure I would have liked Susanna more if I didn't live here :-)

Susanna's pretty! I prefer the Susannah spelling though. Frida Susanna is very exotic sounding. I like it.

I love Zelda but I'm not sure about it next to Susanna.
Winifred Susanna is amazing. Winifred is just so cute. I may warm to Bridget as well, it sits well next to Susanna.
