I love James a whole lot, and I'm not a huge fan of Silas. It's a good character name-- in that the image I get from it is specific and neat, but not particularly desirable for real-life use. James, on the other hand, is the sort of name that I love. It's classic, strong, handsome, friendly, kind, and I love some of its nicknames. It's tied amongst at least one other name for what we'd use if we had another boy.
