For the last year, the Kingdom has been plagued by a terrible drought, crops were failing and the likelyhood of a devestating famine was becoming more and more likely as days and weeks passed without rain...
The royal sorcerers were trying all sorts of weather spells to try and make the rains come, but alas, nothing seemed to be working...
Eleonora's pregnancy progressed and the heat wave continued, making her very uncomfortable indeed - and then something wonderous happened!!! On the 189th day of the drought, Eleonora went into labour, and just as the babies head began to crown, the heavens opened and it started to rain!!! Baby Nereus was thusly named as it has become widely believed in the kingdom that he brought the rains that saved them all.
