[Opinions] Eithne?
What do you think of:Isabelle (Any variation)
Victoria/Vittoria (These variations only)
Elizabeth (Any variation)
Katrina/Catriona
Gabriella/Gabrielle (Any variation of either)Also, I am searching for an Gaelic-Irish name for a female in a piece I am writing.
The girl is short, 5'1", with long, rich auburn hair and dark green eyes. She is pale, with light freckles across her nose. She is very quiet, but a natural leader and will take charge in crisis. She does things for the good of the people around her, and though she doesn't show it, she cares about them deeply.I thought, for her, something like:Eithne (EN-Ya)
Beibhinn (BAY-vin)
Caoilfhionn (KEE-lin)What do you think?

Isabelle - I love Sabela; Isabel is also nice
Victoria/Vittoria (These variations only - neither are my style
Elizabeth (Any variation)- Ubiquitous, nms
Katrina/Catriona - Love Catriona
Gabriella/Gabrielle (Any variation of either)- I like GabrielleBeibhinn is a great name, but I agree with Aiver, the name should be easily pronounced. How about Beibhinn's anglicization, Bevin?"Les yeux sont aveugles. Il faut chercher avec le coeur." -- Le Petit Prince, Antoine de Saint-Exupery

Isabelle - really dislike that spelling, like Isabel and Isobel
Victoria/Vittoria - too regal sounding for me
Elizabeth - prefer Elisabeth and Eilis
Katrina/Catriona - Caitriona is ok
Gabriella/Gabrielle - nice but nmsI like all three Irish names you suggested but if it were me, I would go for a name that's easier to pronounce. I know it annoys me when I'm reading something and don't know how to pronounce the names. I would go for something like -Ailish
Emer
Tara
Aideen
Maeve

love Gabriella. Eli (my son) goes to school with an Eithne but she just spells it Enya. i think it is lovely (she is a cute little girl!) Don't like any other names but love the short forms of Elizabeth - Bessie, Betty and Betsy
