[Opinions] Re: Marie, Maria, or Mary?

In this order:
Mary - It's a really sweet name that was regrettably overused in previous generations. My only problem with it is that it would be so hard to pick a mn. Virtually any combo would sound like some kind of cutesy double fn.
Marie - I was first turned onto Marie when I read a book about the Depression and it seemed like every third woman had this name. It strikes me as very sophisticated and, like Rose, is so much better as a fn than as a mn.
Maria - Another elegant name but it strikes me as rather dull at the moment.
