[Opinions] Julius
I'm really crushing on Julius lately. I have always enjoyed it, especially once I hit High School, because my cool, mysterious European art teacher was named Julius, but I'd forgotten about it for quite a while. Now I'm loving Julius with a vengeance. It's so jolly, dignified and shiny and a little geeky without being too wimpy. It's smart. I like that you can shorten it to Jules if you want, which was one of my great-grandfather's middle names. what do you think of Julius? Due for a bit of a comeback, or too old-fashioned?

I like it a lot. It has all that Roman imperial dignity going on, but it's also very friendly and happy. Those two 'u's are like great big cheesy grins.

I like Julius. That's why I named our family dog Julius, haha. We call him JuJu.Anyway, when I look at Julius, I don't think "old-fashioned", I just think Roman. I'm all for using ancient Roman and Greek names. I have a major crush on pretty much every name in Greek mythology, haha.

Mmm... Orange Julius. That's all it makes me think of. Yum.I'd agree with your image of jolly and dignified. Yes, I very much can see that. That or a basketball player. I don't really like the name, but I don't dislike it either. I generally am not a fan of names that end in -ius.I wouldn't call Julius old-fashioned at all, but I'm not sure if it will ever make much of a comeback. I can definitely see Julian doing that. It's softer with the -n, and -s is harsh.

Julius sounds so wonderfully opulent to me! I love it, and I definitely think it's ready for a comeback.

I can't take it seriously. I just think of someone being overly macho, referencing Julius Caesar. I've never seen it on a real person though, so once I have I may warm to it.

I thin Julius is fantastic! I like Julian but Julius has a little something more. I'm not sure it would go over well everywhere, though.
I also love Jules :o)
