Love, love, love Petra. It's just the sort of underappreciated gem that makes you say, "Petra! Now why didn't I think of that one?" It's effortlessly elegant.
Petra Vivien (my favorite)
Petra Hilary
Petra Delphine
Petra Sylvie
Petra Marion / Manon
Petra Niobe ("NIE-uh-bee")
Petra Valentine
Petra Nolwenn
Petra Sinead
Petra Natalie
Petra Sophie
Petra Valerie
Petra Aisling ("ASH-ling")
Petra Calanthe
Petra Dominique
Petra Emmeline
Petra Genevieve
Petra Victorine
Petra Maeve
Petra Inez
Petra Diane
Petra Gervaise
Petra Dolores
Petra Imogen
Petra Simone
Petra Gillian
Petra Shannon
Petra Caroline
Petra Myfanwy (this might take Petra Vivien's place in my heart)
Petra Jacinthe
Like any?
Try to avoid a mn that has a prominent "r" sound in it near the beginning. Also, a mn beginning with an "f" sound makes me think "petrified." Simiarly, a mn with a stressed "el" sound or beginning with an "L" makes me think "petrol." Petra can be a little tricky to find the right mn.
Thanks for a fun Sunday challenge. :-)

Ooops.
I just looked up the link on Niobe. In mythology she was turned to stone. That's a little too much with Petra (= rock / stone) for me.
(Sorry, I got logged out or I would have put this in my original post.)
And what was I thinking with Petra Simone? Simon Peter, anyone? Time for a little coffee for me.
