[Opinions] A few Welsh BAs
Begw Elain (parents Rhodri and Catrin) *
Elen (parents Nia Cerys and Dafydd, brother Owain)
Lisa Catrin (parents Llinos and Stu)
Osian Dafydd Myrddin (parents Dafydd and Sian)
Dyfan Lewis (parents Gareth and Lindsay)
* = Begw is a short form of Marged, like Peggy for Margaret. Looks like the nicknames-as-full-names trend is getting popular in Wales too. Elain is pr. EL-ine, to rhyme with mine, and means 'fawn' - it's not related to Elaine.

If Elain is pronounced EL-ine, is Owain pronounced OH-wine? Or is it different for blokes?
LOL. Yup, Owain is pronounced O-wine in Wales. Some of them get quite snotty about being called 'Owen', too.
Begw Elain is cute, how do you pronounce Begw?
BEG-oo.
At first I was like, "Begw? That's pretty silly sounding." But seeing that it's a nn for Marged I'm intrigued! It also is totally adorable, but it seems too cutesy to be a full name for an adult. Is it seen as super cutesy in Wales?
Rhodri, Elen, Dafydd, Owain, Osian, and Lewis are all nice. Myrddin is pretty neat, too. And I love the meaning of Llinos, but I'm not a huge fan of the sound.
