I used to live in Northern Ireland and knew several Aislings, they all pronounced it ASH-leen :)

I like Aisling and I love the meaning, I prefer it to Aislinn but I think they would both be pronounced the same.

Ashlyn, Ashlynn, Ashleen etc, I dislike them all, and I do think they seem dated because of their similarity to Ashley. Asha is ok though, I would pronounce it ASH-a.

I know three Ashleys and they are all male, as it's a boys name where I live. They all spell it Ashley.
