[Opinions] Jane.
There was a little girl named Jane on the train (haha!), not sure whether it was spelled Jane or Jayne, she was about 6 or 7. I thought it was quite unusual for someone this age. What are your opinions on Jane/Jayne?
Also, I heard someone calling a baby girl, who was a couple of month old, Paula. Opinions?

I do hope it didn't have a y. Jane is wonderful and so versatile: old, young, rich, poor, nerd, goth ...
Paula doesn't do it for me, though I rather enjoy Paul. Polly is good!

I don't mind a young Jane. I've only known two, btw. One was in hs. We called her Janie. The other is definite grandmother age. I'm sure it's much more common; I just haven't met many. I have known quite a few Jeans.
Paula, otoh, has never wowed me. It sounds so heavy and unattractive. I don't mind Paulina, however.

Way too generic. Even though it's not commonly used as a first name these days, because it was so common for centuries, it's just generic and has no personality. I'd never use it. I'd feel like I might as well be naming my kid "Hey you."
thant was my grandmothers middle name she was born 1918
