[Facts] Re: Dutch name

Hey Lexy,
some names you could use:
Andre (prn. AHNdrey)
Frans (prn Frahns)
Gerard (prn GEH-rahrd)
Niek (prn. Neek)
Theo (prn THAY-o)
Kees (prn. K's)
Klaas (prn well.. Klahs)
Piet (prn Peet)
These are all Dutch people I know or have known in my family, approximately born in the 20s 30s.
Just a first name would be enough. Middle names are given here in Holland but are rarely used. It depends on whether the character is religious or not.. religious people always get a Christian name as well. Among Catholics it has been customary for a long time to give every child the name Maria for a 2nd mn, even the boys. This happened especially in the time your character is supposed to be born. My father (1940s) and all his siblings have that name, and even my bf!
good luck
