I love Kenneth, but hate Kenny enough to never use it. I don't find Kenneth very dated, though it did experience an upswing in the 1930-1940's, but I still think it's fairly classic, it's always been fairly popular.
I love and prefer the similar Keith. It has all the handsomeness as Kenneth, has the one syllable sound that's so popular right now, takes out the icky Kenny, and never experienced the popularity upswing that Kenneth took...
