Desmond is one of my top three names for a boy. Niall is gorgeous too. They sound fabulous together. (Disclosure: Niall was a cousin of mine, so I'm biased. But even before he died I loved his name.)

Graham, which I pronounce "GRAY-um," is another handsome classic. Desmond, Niall and Graham would be the heartbreakers of the block, no question.

I like Niall very much indeed, especially compared to the mildly distasteful Neil. And I think it would be an excellent match. Go for it!

I don't really like the name, but I think it sounds good with Desmond and Graham as brothers. All three are "normal" but uncommon names that have the same feel to them.
