I first fell for it after watching the Jimmy Stewart movie The Shop Around the Corner. (There are several great names in that movie... Ilona, Flora, Alfred, Klara, Hugo.)

I think it's middle name material for a long, classic name like Elizabeth or Alexandra, but as a first name, it reminds me too much of joke names like Justin Tyme, or Ivanna Candy Barr, or something.

I know a woman named Ilona. She's in her 30s. I think it's an ok name but I prefer Helena.

I think it's pretty! It's cute on a little girl and I can picture it on a woman aged 30+ too.
