[Opinions] WDYTO Niamh?
I'm really liking Niamh lately. I'm pronouncing it like NEEVE. I'm a bit iffy about the spelling though - I just don't love the way it looks when its written down if you get what I mean. Not to worried about pronunciation, people will learn. I quite like the combo Isobel Niamh or Niamh Isobel. Like either? Any other combo suggestions?

I far prefer the look of it to the sound! And it does look good with Isobel ... Isobel Niamh for me, or Angela Niamh, or Rosalind Niamh. Though the only aggressively Celtic name I really go for is Maeve ...
I love it. If I were to use it, it would probably be for a mn, however.
I completely agree with you. I love the name and the way it sounds but I'm not sure about the way it looks. Still a beautiul name though.
It's okay. I think it looks realy sweet, but I don't like the sound. Both of those combos are alright. Not particularly exciting to me. I think Niamh Isobel has a more interesting flow to it.

I adore Niamh. It was my little sister's name so it is very special to me. I would consider using it one day for sure, probably only as mn though. I really like the way it looks written down as well. I think Niamh looks so much better than Neve or Neeve at any rate. Niamh Isobel is beautiful...Isobel is my favourite spelling of that name too so extra points! Isobel Niamh is also nice but Niamh is a bit more special than Isobel.
My favourite Celtic names? So many...
My other sisters' names, Aoife and Eimear are way up there. I also love:
Caoimhe (this was my favourite for years)
Ceoibhfhionn
Eibhlin
Mairead
Aisling
Saoirse
Siobhan
Brigid
Connor
Aonghus
Aodhan
Fionn
Cormac
Diarmuid
Seamus
Declan

3 of my favorite girls names are Niamh, Aoife, and Aine! I'm jealous; I wish my sisters and I had you and your sister's names. :)
I ♥ Brigid & Seamus too :-)
