Why are there no Virgil Tibbs or Anne Franks. Or even Calpurnias. Those are required reading characters too. LITERARY RACISM. No blacks or Jews allowed, or what.j/k but seriously. And also Kitty, I agree, lifting the whole name out of four books is more lazy than liteary in my opinion. Like yeah ok, we get it. You can read.

The only one I had to read/ a teacher read to us was Tom Sawyer. There's just too much English literature to read everything. I did read the stories of Anne Frank in middle school, though.
