I love the name and I just remember a movie called that. That is my only strong association with it. Cows are only a minor detail, lol.

I love the name Angus! It reminds me of Angus Deayton.

I loved this for a while and I still like it quite a bit, but part of the draw is the nn Gus. :b I also associate with the main character in a movie called "Angus" about a nerdy, overweight teenage boy. (Movie recommendation -- If you haven't seen it, it's a great, funny and heartwarming movie! :)) But I loved that character so it was a good association. I would worry, though, about the Black Angus cow/steak association. It's not the first thing I think of, but if my son was large (and it's likely, in my family) I'd be afraid he'd be teased. :(

No, I don't think of Angus beef. I think it's adorable. I would never use it for myself because my cat growing up was Mangus.

I named my iPod Angus! He's awesome. And I've know afewcute guys with this name too. I wouldn't use it but I'd like seeing it on other peoples' kids.

I never used to like this name before but now I do. It sounds very British and posh in a way. I do think of the cows but I don't think that association overshadows the name.

I love Angus. It has a very strong, simple sound, in my opinion. I'm very familiar with Angus cattle, but that association seems like one that wouldn't be a problem if you actually met an Angus. For instance, I used to associate Allegra with the allergy medicine, but now that I know a girl called Allegra the medicine doesn't even come to mind when I hear it.

I love the name Angus, it's one of my secret loves that I'll propably never get to use. I like it first because it's Scottish and the njust because of the sound! It's has such a strong, royal, firm, manly sound that appeals to me. I really like it!

I think, whoa, popularity surge. There are quite a few little Angus's running around in Australia. It's growing on me as a name for chilren now rather than a middle-aged man though.

I live near a rural area, and all I think of is the cow! Sorry.

I love it. It's a good Scottish name. But I wouldn't use it if I wasn't at least part Scottish.

I love it. My cousin and her husband have a two year old named Angus Leo, so the name has a good connotation for me now. The family was kind of skeptical about their child sharing a name with a kind of beef but we got over it. :-)
