I have a major dilemma. I have my children's names all picked out, but I have come across a problem. Jesse is my favorite male name of all time, but it seems informal compared to the other names I've picked.

Lucy Caroline, Katherine Charlotte, and John David are the names I've picked, but Jesse Pearce doesn't seem to fit. I just love the name though, and I love the other too.

Oh, I don't agree at all. I think Lucy, John and Jesse go really well together. And unless you call Katherine by her full name, then most nns for Katherine and Jesse complement each other nicely.

BTW, I really love Lucy Caroline.

Katherine will be a Kate or a Kasey and John will be a Johnny.

I think Jesse would be fine with your other names. If you really love it like you say you do, then you should use it, you'll be disappointed if you don't!

What about using Jesse as a mn? Perhaps Peter Jesse might work for you.

My problem with Jesse is Jessica, nn Jessie.

I think it complements the other names very well! (even though Lucy and Jesse sound very similar).

I do not find Jesse informal and think it complements the others quite well. I also adore the name Jesse.
