Help[Surname] Origin of Surname
I am inquiring about the origin of the surname, Petralie. I wish I could supply more information, but I have found very little regarding this surname. If you have any information that could help, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Or Petrali in Northern Italy. Both are among the US surnames. I have noticed also a greek surname PETRALIAS. That could mean that "Petralia"comes from a greek name.

Petralie appears to be an alteration of Italian Petralia the origin of which are the placenames Petralia Sottana and Petralia Sopranna in Sicily. The online phone directory 411.com lists only three Petralies in the US, all of whom are in Missouri where there are six times more Petralias.
