Craig reacted with sheer joy at the news of Holly's pregnancy. He 'wow'ed several times on the phone, and made it a point to leave work early to be with Holly as soon as possible. They decided not to tell Harvey just yet, in case something unpredictable happened.
At an appointment a few months later, Holly and Craig were discussing whether to reuse some of Harvey's old baby clothes or to buy new ones. The doctor chimed in and commented they should do both, because she doubted there would be enough clothes for two babies. The Fordhams' jaws dropped at this, and it was only after they saw the two babies in the sonogram that reality sunk in.
When Holly reached her seventh month of pregnancy she noticed some bleeding, and after rushing to the doctor, she was told she had placenta previa. It was kept more or lesss under control with medication, but about a month later she gave birth to twins Lucy and Clara through C-section. Being prematures, the girls were immediately taken to the NICU, but apart from an undeveloped respiratory system, which is quite normal for premature babies, they were very much healthy. After a couple of weeks Craig and Holly were allowed to take the twins home, which didn't sit well with Harvey. He was used to getting all the attention, and is now very upset to see his sisters hogging the show. His parents try to involve him in caring for the girls, but he's still a bit reluctant. Also, the fact that Lucy and Clara are both rather fussy doesn't help.
