I like its interestingness, but when I say it, it sounds quite graceless, probably because it's got 'lumber' in it. And Anneza has a good point about its gender-ambiguousness. I think I'd prefer it on a boy, if only because the saint is reasonably well-known because of schools and churches.
I have a cousin called Colombe who's a boy, but I can't see that working outside France.
