[Opinions] Bianca
Is it dated thanks to Bianca Jagger and even semi-trashy thanks to the character played by Patsy Palmer in the Brit soap EastEnders?
Or is it chic, classic and entirely usable thanks to Shakespeare?

I'm leaning more toward the chic side, due to Shakespeare, BUT that's when I pronounce it Bee-ANN-kuh, which is, from what i've gathered from American tv, different to the American pronunciation of Bee-AHN-kuh, which I think sounds dated and trashy.
So depends on the pronunciation for me.

Not a favourite; seems not to fit in with modern names really. And I've got a niece who would ruin any name she owned; in this case, Bianca! I can think of many Shakespearean girl names that I'd use long before I even sniffed at Bianca ...
Uh, no. It's my sister's name and it's a really beautiful name. I think that it would for sure be on my PNL if it was usable for me. It's lovely.
I think of Shakespeare, but I've never watched any British soaps. It's quite bouncy and pretty, but - although I am probably all alone here! - I prefer Blanche.
I think it's definitely usable. Bianca doesn't seem dated to me at all. In fact, I have it in mind for a white kitten. ;-)
Bianca, sounds very stuck up! I don't like it at all.
Had a student named Bianca, love the name.
I think Bianca is a bratty name. I never liked it.
Here in the U.S., "East Enders" is not a factor. I'd say it's chich, classic and entirely usable thansk to Shakespeare. :-)
My only issue with it is it sounds harsh and reminds me of Binaca ("bi-NAH-cuh") mouth freshener. (Do they even make that any more?) But I would still be pleased to meet a little Bianca, or better yet a Blanca.

I don't think Bianc Jagger is notable enough to date the name. And as an American, I have never heard of East Enders. That is something you'd have to decide, but like with any movie/show/pop culture symbol, how much of an infuence it is depends on the person.
I think it is pretty, usable, and rather classic.

I perceive it as a bit overly fluffy.

I only associate the name with Shakespeare and The Rescuers. I don't know who Bianca Jagger is and I've never seen East Enders. So to me it's a classic, sophisticated, and quite usable name.
