I prefer the nns Kate or Katie, I can't stand Kathy, Kit or anything like that. I actually like Katherine without a nn. My cousin's name is Catherine and thats what everyone calls her, if anyone tries to call her Cathy her mum (my sil) says "no, its Catherine".
