[Facts] Origin of Ashere.
I've come across the name 'Ashere' a few times, and here's wondering what it means, of course, but specifically what culture it's from? I've looked everywhere and found very little.
If it helps, I've found it most commonly tacked in front of the surnames Thispen and Thigpen. It seems it could go with either gender, but don't quote me on that.
Since the name is distributed several times between two different-yet-similar surnames, we're just all going to assume it isn't 'Asher' with an 'E' tacked on to the end, of course.

How is it pronounced? Like Asher or uh-Sheer or something else entirely?
