[Opinions] Celina/Selena?
Which spelling and what do you think of the name?I never hear it. All the names on my list are popular (not on purpose of couse) and Celina feels fresher to me. Wdyt? I love both spelling btw, but think Celina goes best with our last name and with our kids names. :)

To me they're two separate names. I pronounce Celina ce-LEE-na and Selena se-LAY-na. I prefer Celina, though.

I prefer the Celina spelling. This spelling seems more exotic to me, plus this was my husband's great grandmother's name. I don't like Celina enough to use as a first name, but I am considering either Celina or Celine for this baby's middle name if it's a girl and the first name we pick flows with either name.

I think I prefer Selena. It's an all right name to me. It's not really my style.

Well, Celina was really popular here in Germany from about 1995 till 2000 so it does feel a bit dated. It only had a short phase in which it was really common and then disappeared.I like Selena better. I think it was in the top 100 in the US for exactly one year and then left so it shouldn't be too common.I prefer Selena over Celina but Céline over Selene.

Of the two you mentioned I have no preferance but I prefer the form Selina to both of them.

I prefer Selena, but would use the Selina spelling as it's more familiar to me (as it is to Pie) - and reminds me of historical figure Lady Selina Hastings. Celina isn't really familiar to me at all; I rather like Celia.

My favorite is Selina. I don't care for either Celina or Selena.

They're both quite nice. The spelling I'm most familiar with is Selina, but they all look fine to me.

I like both Celina and Selena... It's a refreshing and pretty name.I actually prefer Serena just because of the meaning.Very pretty, though.

I love Celina and much prefer its meaning to Selena's. I also like the way it looks better. I agree that Celina is more of a complement to your surname.
