That's funny. My mother's name is Molly; her sister is Mary. Technically, they're the same name, but I like Molly a bit better. Sure, it's old-fashioned, and every dog in the world seems to be named it, but I'd say it's acceptable to name two siblings those names.

Old-fashioned?
I never would think Molly seemed old fashioned. Sure it's been around a long time, but it's still popular. The only Mollys I've ever known have been my age (early-mid 20s) or younger. I've seen plenty of baby girls named Molly. It just struck me that you think of it as old-fashioned.
