[Opinions] Viola
This name has started growing on me. It's the name of one of my favourite Shakesperian characters, and it also stands for my favourite colour, purple. I don't mind the musical instrument association.WDYT? Do you prefer it pronounced Vee-ola or Vay-ola?

I like it, but only pronounced "VIE-uh-lah". I don't like it pronounced like the instrument.

It's quite nice, and violas have a great sound. I pronounce it vie-ola too.

I like it! My personal pronunciation is VYE-oh la. There is just something so Southern-sharp and sassy about it that way. I am not Southern, but...yeah.

I don't like the name at all.
It was my grandmother's sister's name and she was a really cool and funny woman, but I still don't like the name. I also had a monkey (not a real one) when I was a child and her second middlename was Viola, after my grandmother's sister. I prefer Vee-ola.

I love that name too. I don't mind the instrument association either.I've always loved the combo Viola Celestine.

I like it a lot, it makes a nice change from Violet - which seems to be on the rise. I pronounce it VY-ola :)

I prefer Violetta. I suppose it's cause Viola reminds me of the instrument!
