Jake and Jade met six years ago at college and it was love at first sight. They dated for five years before tying the knot last April, and when they got back from their wonderful honeymoon in Côte d'Azur, there was an unexpected, extra passenger on the flight back. Now that they know they're expecting a boy, the parents-to-be have started thinking about names. They want their son to have a French first name that sounds good in English, and Jade wants the middle name to be after her younger brother Sean, who has trisomy 21.

Up until three years ago or so, Patrick and Gemma had the perfect marriage... or so Gemma thought. Shortly after Emily was born, Patrick confessed to Gemma that he was gay and that he wanted a divorce. Though shocked and angry at the news, Gemma accepted Patrick's request. They tried to remain on friendly terms for Emily's sake, and have succeeded thus far. Both have found new partners, and for Emily's 4th birthday Rob, Gemma's boyfriend, has got her a white and brown Cocker Spaniel puppy. Emily is ecstatic about her newest friend, but she can't decide on a name for it. She wants it to be short and cute, but not too 'doggish'.

Charlie and Aimee don't believe in having to sign a paper to be married, so they have been boyfriend and girlfriend for over eight years. They met in their teen years at a music festival, and merely a week after that they decided to run away together. For the past four years they have been the proud owners of a farm, bequest to Charlie by a distant uncle. Amidst all the bustle of biological agriculture, Aimee and Charlie found themselves having twin daughters. Since stargazing is a favourite hobby of them, they gave their babies 'stellar' names. Meda and Cass are now two and half years old, and they have just been told they'll have a baby sister soon! Charlie and Aimee want a space-related first name and a feminine, mildly popular middle name.

Joseph and Angela have been married for 25 years, and they've always been a happy couple. They have two children, Will and Georgia, who will be soon finishing their higher education. Angela and Joseph have been enjoying life, but it seems life has got a surprise in store for them: twins! Angela thought she couldn't have children anymore because of her age, and what she thought were signs of menopause were actually signs of pregnancy. Now that the initial shock has died down, Angela has been living her life as stress-free as she can (for it's a risky pregnancy), and Joseph is looking forward to holding the babies in his arms. Will and Georgia are not happy, but they have decided to keep their opinions to themselves for their mother's sake. Hoping to appease his oldest offspring, Joseph has asked them to pick the babies' names. Will is not very imaginative, so he is looking for a solid, classical, 'safe' name for his baby sister; Georgia, on the other hand, wants her little brother to have an uncommon, though not overly odd, masculine name with a vintage, distinguished feel to it; she has a passion for the 1920's, so she's likely to find something she likes in a name list of that decade.
