I've always disliked Erin immensely. It's just not pleasant sounding to my ears and doesn't seem feminine at all. It's so close to Aaron. It's also a sort of "fake-Irish" name, like Colleen, in that it's an Irish word but is not used as a personal name in Ireland. However, my ex-brother-in-law really liked it, therefore, it is my niece's middle name. His sister liked it so well she used it as a first name. It must run in the family. The names from "Oklahoma" are designed to sound like they would be the real names of people in Oklahoma Territory circa 1900. I have a soft spot for Will.

I've always loved Erin. It's on our list, but not high enough that we'd ever end up using it.

I've only known two Erins, one nice, one not. So that doesn't affect my opinion. It's always seemed flat and uninteresting to me, but not cheap or offensive.

I would really like it if it didn't have so many modern associations. A while ago I named a character Eryn, thinking it would look less modern than Erin, but it ended up more modren-looking... Anyway I don't dislike it, but I wish it wasn't so modern and popular.

I like Erin. I used to know one who was quite cool. I don't know whether you're from the States, but I get the impression that over there there's an association between Erin and Aaron because they sound the same, so Erin seems masculine. For me they don't sound the same so I don't have those associations.I like Laurie (for a boy, because of Little Women) and Will. The others are nms, but Annie is ok as a nn.
