Love Olive!
Would like to use it, but hubby would never agree. :)

I likes it
But then, I am a professed lover of old lady chic. This name seems very smart, hip and sharp to me. someone with very high intelligence and a very opinionated nature.

Olive is too oily and too Popeye; though I had an excellent Aunt Olive.
Olivia is very overused, but still retains its elegance.

I love Olive.
Sorry, it doesn't do much for me either. It's not too bad though. I think I'd actually prefer Livia, if it wasn't so likely to get confused with all the Olivias.
I like Olivia, but I just can't stand Olive. They look similar in writing, but the change in syllable emphasis makes a BIG difference. I just can't see giving a girl the name Olive. It's just not at all attractive to me.
I can't say that I find Ollie a nice nickname for a girl. I don't find it nice for a boy, either, which is why I'd never use Oliver.
If I had an Olivia, I'd use Liv or Livvy for a nickname, never Ollie.
