[Opinions] Lloyd
I'm on a bit of a Modernist art kick at the moment, and in my wanderings I've naturally come across architect Frank Lloyd Wright, and that got me thinking about Lloyd.
It's got that old man geek-chic I adore so much, and wonder if its due for a hipster revival. What are your opinions on Lloyd?
Oddly enough, I love that it means "gray". That just adds to its fusty ol' charm.

It's okay. The only people I've ever met with Lloyd as a first name were Jamaican, or from Jamaican families. Otherwise I've only ever seen it as a surname, or as part of a surname (Lloyd / Llwyd Jones, Lloyd Evans etc) so that's what it looks like to me.
Frank Lloyd Wright is pretty cool though. I love the Guggenheim and Fallingwater. :)

nice use of fusty!
I don't mind it. I think its fine as a middle name. If I met a young Lloyd, I'd probably think it refreshing, but its not a name for me personally.
Andrew Lloyd Webber
is what I think of first. Then my sister's old English friend named Lloyd we met at camp when we were 10 or 11. I like it, it looks interesting. I can only imagine it on someone young though because that's the only case I've seen it used.

I think I liked it when I was really little (or maybe I'm confusing it with Louis, which I know I liked back then). If you like old man geek-chic, then it seems your style, but it's nrms. It could have a revival in a couple decades. I think of this adorable puppy I met a couple years ago. His name was Lloyd, and I haven't seen him in 3 years, but he's my dog's brother.
He's a pug, so his face is all wrinkly!
omg, sweeeeet!
Honestly, I think it's one of the ugliest, most dated names out there. It's the -oy- that turns me off, I'm sure.
