We just celebrated Thomas' birthday last week. He's now officially a one-year-old. Greg and I threw a big party for him, and Thomas absolutely loved it. He is a people-person and seems to enjoy being held by people he knows--as long as one of us is within sight. Oria was all proud of her little grandbaby, though the day was bittersweet because Cesare wasn't there. At the end of the party, once we had helped Thomas open his presents and he was napping contentedly, we announced that we were expecting another baby in just over four months. The rest of the family was surprised, but happy to hear that Thomas would be getting a sibling.
Last month was a big month for my family as well. My youngest sister Avery got married. She's the last of us girls to get married, and the day was a very emotional one for everybody. Her wedding went wonderfully, and she is very happy with her new husband.
